The Widow’s Garland — Twelve skulls and a dozen roses, arranged politely around a photograph.
A rectangular wall frame whose entire border is built from sculpted skulls alternating with full-blown roses and their leaves — skulls at the corners and the centre of each side, roses filling everything between. A fine beaded lip runs around the inner opening and holds the photograph.
It is a heavier, denser piece than a plain frame, and it reads as a memento mori first and a picture frame second. Hung with the opening empty it still works as a wall plaque.
3D printed in PLA in our Dublin workshop, the matte surface separates the rose petals from the leafwork behind them and keeps the eye sockets and nasal cavities of each skull properly dark. Fine layer lines may remain visible as part of the 3D-printing process.
Designed for gallery walls, altar shelves and memorial photographs, and for anyone who has run out of patience with tasteful.

Please note
The opening measures about 9.9 × 11.7 cm. A 10 × 15 cm print will need roughly 3 cm trimmed off the length; printed at 10 × 12 cm it drops straight in.
Finish options
Matte Black — our standard finish. Deep matte-black PLA that holds shadow and shows every sculpted edge, raised detail and recess.
Antique Silver — hand-painted over a matte-black base and carefully drybrushed so the raised detail lifts into silver while the recesses stay dark. Each one is finished individually, so no two are ever quite the same.
Antique Bronze — the same hand-painted treatment in a warmer metal, for rooms where black reads too cold. Finished individually, so small variations are part of its character.
Other (message me) — the same hand-painted finish in colours of your choosing, for the same price. Send us a message before you order and tell us what you have in mind, and we will say honestly whether we can do it justice.

Printed, finished and packed by the two of us in Dublin, and posted from Ireland — so EU orders arrive without customs charges or import delays.
Pieces in matte black normally go out within 1–3 working days. Hand-painted finishes take 3–5 working days, because the paint needs time to dry properly between coats.
Product safety

Mount securely using fixings appropriate for your wall type.
Wall fixings are not supplied.
Handle the rose petals and the projecting skulls at the corners with care.
Not a toy. Keep away from young children.
Keep away from excessive heat, open flames and prolonged direct sunlight — PLA can soften at high temperatures.
Clean gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners and solvents, especially on a hand-painted finish.
Materials: PLA. Hand-painted finishes also use acrylic paint and matt varnish.
Minor layer lines and small variations in the printed or hand-painted finish are normal and form part of the piece’s character.

Every piece gets checked before it is packed. If something turns up damaged, or simply is not what you were hoping for, please send us a message — we are a two-person workshop and would far rather hear from you and put it right.
