The Vesper — A small window, and something hanging over it with its wings out.
A sculptural Gothic photo frame with a bat spread across the top edge, wings reaching out to a carved spire at each upper corner. Foliate scrollwork runs down both sides of the opening, and the whole thing sits on a stepped moulded plinth so it stands up on its own.
It is the smallest frame we make, and deliberately so — it holds a single portrait photograph at the sort of scale you put beside a bed or on a shelf of oddments rather than over a fireplace.
3D printed in PLA in our Dublin workshop, the matte surface picks out the bat’s ribbed wing membrane, its ears and folded feet, and the fine leafwork running down each side of the opening. Fine layer lines may remain visible as part of the 3D-printing process.
Designed for bedside tables, shelves and the sort of small dark corner that deserves something better than a plain frame.

Please note
The opening measures about 9 × 10.9 cm, which is a little smaller than a standard 10 × 15 cm print. If you are using a photo you already have, expect to trim it — or print it at 9 × 11 cm and it will drop straight in.
The plinth is shallow, so it stands best on a shelf or mantel rather than somewhere it will get knocked.
Finish options
Matte Black — our standard finish. Deep matte-black PLA that holds shadow and shows every sculpted edge, raised detail and recess.
Antique Silver — hand-painted over a matte-black base and carefully drybrushed so the raised detail lifts into silver while the recesses stay dark. Each one is finished individually, so no two are ever quite the same.
Antique Bronze — the same hand-painted treatment in a warmer metal, for rooms where black reads too cold. Finished individually, so small variations are part of its character.
Other (message me) — the same hand-painted finish in colours of your choosing, for the same price. Send us a message before you order and tell us what you have in mind, and we will say honestly whether we can do it justice.

Printed, finished and packed by the two of us in Dublin, and posted from Ireland — so EU orders arrive without customs charges or import delays.
Pieces in matte black normally go out within 1–3 working days. Hand-painted finishes take 3–5 working days, because the paint needs time to dry properly between coats.
Product safety
Decorative item for indoor use only.
Handle the spires, wing tips and projecting leafwork with care.
Not a toy. Keep away from young children.
Keep away from excessive heat, open flames and prolonged direct sunlight — PLA can soften at high temperatures.
Clean gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners and solvents, especially on a hand-painted finish.
Materials: PLA. Hand-painted finishes also use acrylic paint and matt varnish.
Minor layer lines and small variations in the printed or hand-painted finish are normal and form part of the piece’s character.

Every piece gets checked before it is packed. If something turns up damaged, or simply is not what you were hoping for, please send us a message — we are a two-person workshop and would far rather hear from you and put it right.
