The Rook’s Window — A watchful visitor has claimed the highest perch on the Archive wall.

A sculptural Gothic photo frame and decorative wall plaque featuring an imposing crow perched across its upper edge, surrounded by dense Baroque foliage, curling scrollwork and crescent-like corner flourishes. The tall portrait opening and deeply layered ornament give it the presence of an old frame recovered from somewhere slightly less ordinary.

3D printed in PLA in our Dublin workshop, the detailed surface picks out the crow’s layered feathers, curved beak, gripping claws and elaborate scrolling border while keeping the overall character dark and restrained. Fine layer lines may remain visible as part of the 3D-printing process.

Designed for gallery walls, reading corners and alternative interiors where an ordinary frame would feel altogether too well behaved.

Finish options

• Matte Black — our standard finish. Deep matte-black PLA that holds shadow and shows the sculpted feathers, raised scrollwork, recessed ornament and fine printed texture.

• Antique Silver — hand-painted over a matte-black base and carefully drybrushed so the crow’s feathers, claws and raised Baroque detailing catch the silver while the recesses remain dark. Each one is finished individually, so small variations are part of its character.

• Antique Bronze — hand-painted over a matte-black base and carefully drybrushed in warm bronze tones, bringing out the feathers and scrolling ornament without losing the dark Gothic depth beneath. Each one is finished individually, so no two are exactly alike.

• Other (message me) — the same hand-painted finish in colours of your choosing, for the same price. Send us a message before you order and tell us what you have in mind, and we will say honestly whether we can do it justice.

Made and posted in Ireland

Printed, finished and packed by the two of us in Dublin, and posted from Ireland — so EU orders arrive without customs charges or import delays. Pieces in matte black go out in 1–3 working days; hand-painted ones take 3–5, because the paint needs time to dry properly between coats.

Product safety

• Decorative item for indoor use only.

• Mount securely using fixings appropriate for your wall type.

• Wall fixings are not supplied.

• Not a toy. Keep away from young children.

• Keep away from excessive heat, open flames and prolonged direct sunlight — PLA can soften at high temperatures.

• Clean gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners and solvents, especially on a hand-painted finish.

• Handle the crow, claws, corner flourishes and projecting scrollwork with care.

• Materials: PLA. Hand-painted finishes also use acrylic paint and matt varnish.

• Minor layer lines and small variations in the printed or hand-painted finish are normal and form part of the piece’s character.

Every piece gets checked before it is packed. If something turns up damaged, or simply is not what you were hoping for, please send us a message — we are a two-person workshop and would far rather hear from you and put it right.
