The Midnight Prowler — Baroque Panther Mask, Gothic Masquerade, Hand-Painted

The Midnight Prowler — Something decidedly feline has found its way into the Archive.

A dramatic full-faced panther mask combining a broad feline silhouette with dense, symmetrical Baroque ornament. Pointed ears, deep almond-shaped eye openings and a substantial sculpted muzzle give the piece its unmistakable prowling character, while curling foliage, raised scrollwork and ornamental flourishes cover almost every part of the surface.

The strongly curved construction gives the mask considerable depth, particularly around the nose, cheeks and divided muzzle. Finished in matte black, the relief catches the light differently across the forehead, ears and face without disguising its 3D-printed character.

Designed for masquerade displays, Gothic interiors, Halloween collections and theatrical decorative arrangements where an ordinary house cat would be rather underdressed.

Finish options

• Matte Black — our standard finish. Deep matte PLA that holds shadow and shows every sculpted edge.

• Antique Silver — hand-painted and dry-brushed by us in the workshop so the raised ornament catches the silver while the recesses remain dark. Each mask is finished individually, so no two will be exactly alike.

• Antique Bronze — hand-painted and dry-brushed by us in the workshop so the raised ornament catches the bronze while the recesses remain dark. Each mask is finished individually, so no two will be exactly alike.

• Other (message me) — the same hand-painted finish in colours of your choosing, for the same price. Send us a message before ordering and tell us what you have in mind, and we will say honestly whether we can do it justice.

Made and posted in Ireland

Printed, finished and packed by the two of us in Dublin, and posted from Ireland — so orders sent within the EU do not cross an external EU customs border. Masks in matte black usually dispatch within 1–3 working days. Hand-painted finishes take 3–5 working days, as the paint and protective finish need time to dry properly between coats.

Product safety

• Decorative item for indoor use only.

• Not protective equipment.

• Not a toy. Keep away from young children.

• Keep away from excessive heat, open flames and prolonged direct sunlight — PLA can soften at high temperatures.

• Clean gently with a soft, dry cloth.

• Avoid abrasive cleaners and solvents, particularly on hand-painted finishes.

• Handle the ears and raised ornamental details with care.

• Materials: PLA. Hand-painted finishes also use acrylic paint and matt varnish.

• Due to the nature of 3D printing and hand finishing, minor layer lines and small variations are normal and form part of the piece’s character.
