The Lantern Grin — Baroque Pumpkin Wall Plaque, Halloween Wall Plaque

The Lantern Grin — A rather cheerful face has taken its place on the Archive wall.

A decorative Gothic oval wall plaque featuring a raised burnt-orange jack-o’-lantern against a solid black centre panel. A ribbed pumpkin body, curved stalk, triangular features and square-toothed grin are surrounded by elaborate Baroque scrollwork, layered oval mouldings and sweeping ornaments at the crown and base.

3D printed in PLA in our Dublin workshop, the sculpted surfaces pick out the pumpkin’s carved expression, layered borders and curling ornament while retaining their dark, restrained character. Fine layer lines may remain visible as part of the 3D-printing process.

Designed for gallery walls, reading corners, Halloween displays and alternative interiors where a welcoming grin need not be entirely reassuring.

Finish options

• Matte Black — a deep matte-black frame and centre panel with a contrasting burnt-orange pumpkin. The restrained finish holds shadow while allowing the sculpted ornament and pumpkin relief to remain clearly visible.

• Antique Silver — the black frame is hand-painted and dry-brushed with silver so the raised ornament catches the colour while the recessed details remain dark. The centre panel stays black and the pumpkin remains burnt orange.

• Antique Bronze — the black frame is hand-painted and dry-brushed with warm bronze, bringing out the scrolling ornament and layered mouldings while retaining dark recesses. The centre panel stays black and the pumpkin remains burnt orange.

• Other (message me) — the frame can be hand-finished in another colour of your choosing. Message us before ordering and tell us what you have in mind; we will say honestly whether we can do it justice.

Each hand-painted plaque is finished individually, so the placement and intensity of the dry-brushing will vary slightly from piece to piece.

Printed, finished and packed by the two of us in Dublin, and posted from Ireland. EU orders are sent from within the European Union and do not incur import customs charges between EU member states.

Pieces in matte black are normally dispatched within 1–3 working days. Hand-painted finishes take 3–5 working days because the paint and protective finish need time to dry properly between coats.

Product safety

• Decorative wall plaque for indoor use only.

• Ensure the plaque is securely mounted before display.

• Not a toy. Keep away from young children.

• Keep away from excessive heat, open flames and prolonged direct sunlight, as PLA can soften at high temperatures.

• Clean gently with a soft, dry cloth.

• Avoid abrasive cleaners and solvents, particularly on hand-painted finishes.

• Handle the projecting frame ornament and raised pumpkin details with care.

• Materials: PLA. Hand-painted finishes also use acrylic paint and matt varnish.

• Due to the nature of 3D printing and hand finishing, minor layer lines and small variations are normal and form part of each plaque’s character.
