The Familiar — Winged Black Cat Figurine, Witchy Halloween Shelf Decor
The Familiar — Every archive acquires a cat eventually. This one came with wings.
A seated cat, upright and facing forward, with a pair of feathered wings opening either side of it. The chest and haunches are carved in long flame-like strands rather than ordinary fur, and the same strands rise from the base and curl up around the body. It stands on a round moulded plinth with a scrolled band.
Cats and witchcraft have a long working relationship and this sits on the right side of it — a familiar rather than a novelty. It is the broadest piece we make: it lands with the witchy crowd, the gothic crowd, and people who simply own a black cat.
3D printed in PLA in our Dublin workshop, the matte surface separates each layer of wing feathers and keeps the flame-strand fur reading as carved rather than smudged. Fine layer lines may remain visible as part of the 3D-printing process.
Designed for shelves, mantels and altar tops, and as a gift for someone whose cat already runs the house.

Finish options
Matte Black — our standard finish. Deep matte-black PLA that holds shadow and shows every sculpted edge, raised detail and recess.
Antique Silver — hand-painted over a matte-black base and carefully drybrushed so the raised detail lifts into silver while the recesses stay dark. Each one is finished individually, so no two are ever quite the same.
Antique Bronze — the same hand-painted treatment in a warmer metal, for rooms where black reads too cold. Finished individually, so small variations are part of its character.
Other (message me) — the same hand-painted finish in colours of your choosing, for the same price. Send us a message before you order and tell us what you have in mind, and we will say honestly whether we can do it justice.

Printed, finished and packed by the two of us in Dublin, and posted from Ireland — so EU orders arrive without customs charges or import delays.
Pieces in matte black normally go out within 1–3 working days. Hand-painted finishes take 3–5 working days, because the paint needs time to dry properly between coats.
Product safety
Decorative item for indoor use only.
Handle the wing tips and the ears with care — they are the thinnest sections. Lift the piece by its base rather than its wings.
Not a toy. Keep away from young children.
Keep away from excessive heat, open flames and prolonged direct sunlight — PLA can soften at high temperatures.
Clean gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners and solvents, especially on a hand-painted finish.
Materials: PLA. Hand-painted finishes also use acrylic paint and matt varnish.
Minor layer lines and small variations in the printed or hand-painted finish are normal and form part of the piece’s character.

Every piece gets checked before it is packed. If something turns up damaged, or simply is not what you were hoping for, please send us a message — we are a two-person workshop and would far rather hear from you and put it right.
