The Cloistered Drake — Dragon Cathedral Bookend, Gothic Fantasy Bookshelf Decor

The Cloistered Drake — a dragon's head rises from a Gothic pedestal, jaw closed, watching the room in silence.

A single dragon bookend: a sculpted head and scaled neck rising from a stepped Gothic pedestal base, jaw closed and horns swept back along the skull. The pointed-arch relief on the plinth's faces echoes the cathedral pedestals used across the Akshan range, so this piece sits comfortably alongside them on a shelf of mixed gothic pieces.

The scale detail runs continuously from the base of the neck up through the jaw and brow, with a raised ridge of spines along the back of the head. Finished in matte black, the deep recesses between scales hold shadow while the higher planes of the skull catch the light.

Sold as a single bookend. It pairs naturally in appearance with its open-jawed companion, The Rampant Drake, but each is a separate listing — buy one for a single support, or two to make a matching pair.

Made and posted in Ireland

Printed, finished and packed by the two of us in Dublin, and posted from Ireland — so EU orders arrive without customs charges or import delays. Matte black goes out in 1–3 working days; hand-painted finishes take 3–5, because the paint needs time to dry properly between coats.

Product safety

• Decorative bookend for indoor use only.

• Not a toy. Keep away from young children.

• Keep away from excessive heat, open flames and prolonged direct sunlight — PLA can soften at high temperatures.

• Place on a stable, level surface.

• Clean gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners and solvents, especially on a hand-painted finish.

• Handle the projecting head, horns and wing detail with care.

• Materials: PLA. Hand-painted finishes also use acrylic paint and matt varnish.

• Due to the nature of 3D printing, minor layer lines and small variations in finish are normal and form part of the piece's character.
