The Blackwing Perch — Giant Blackwing Wall Shelf, Gothic Raven Wall Shelf

The Blackwing Perch - a floating shelf on scrolled brackets, their lower edge scalloped into a spread of bat wings.

A wall shelf carried on a pair of dense scrolled brackets whose lower edge is cut into a spread, scalloped silhouette reading as a pair of folded bat wings. The scrollwork itself is acanthus-leaf relief rather than a literal feather or fur texture, so the bat-wing reading comes from the shape of the piece rather than surface detail - a quieter, more architectural take on the motif than The Colony Roost's sculpted figure.

A deep, plain shelf surface sits above the brackets, giving genuine display room for books, small figures or a candle holder.

What it will hold

A single shelf for light display items - a book or two, a small figure, a candle holder or similar. Not intended for heavy or load-bearing items.

Made and posted in Ireland

Printed, finished and packed by the two of us in Dublin, and posted from Ireland — so EU orders arrive without customs charges or import delays. Matte black goes out in 1–3 working days; hand-painted finishes take 3–5, because the paint needs time to dry properly between coats.

Product safety

• Decorative wall shelf for indoor use only.

• Not a toy. Keep away from young children.

• Keep away from excessive heat, open flames and prolonged direct sunlight — PLA can soften at high temperatures.

• Fix securely to a solid wall with an appropriate fixing. Light display use only — not intended to carry heavy or load-bearing items.

• Clean gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners and solvents, especially on a hand-painted finish.

• Handle pierced tracery and any figural detail with care.

• Materials: PLA. Hand-painted finishes also use acrylic paint and matt varnish.

• Due to the nature of 3D printing, minor layer lines and small variations in finish are normal and form part of the piece's character.

Every piece gets checked before it's packed. If something turns up damaged, or just isn't what you were hoping for, please send us a message — we're a two-person workshop and we would far rather hear from you and put it right.
