The Abyssal Wyrm — Sea Dragon Wall Shelf, Gothic Crystal Shelf, Hand-Painted

The Abyssal Wyrm — Something ancient has surfaced from the darker reaches of the Archive.

A sculptural sea-dragon wall shelf, with an imposing horned head, layered scales and armour-like detailing emerging from the wall beneath a rectangular display ledge. Its outstretched claws curl around the shelf, making the support itself part of the creature rather than something hidden away.

3D printed in matte black PLA, this version is finished with a restrained dry-brush of metallic blue and purple across the raised details. The application is intentionally light, allowing the original black to remain visible through the deeper scales, armour and recesses.

Designed as a striking piece of gothic and fantasy-inspired wall decor, the shelf is intended for displaying small, lightweight decorative objects and curiosities.

Finish options

• Matte Black — our standard finish. Deep matte PLA that holds shadow and shows every sculpted edge.
• Blue & Purple — hand-painted, drybrushed by us in the workshop so the raised detail lifts and the recesses stay dark. Each one is done individually, so no two are ever quite the same.
• Other (message me) — the same hand-painted finish in colours of your choosing, for the same price. Send us a message before you order and tell us what you have in mind, and we will say honestly whether we can do it justice.

Printed, finished and packed by the two of us in Dublin, and posted from Ireland — so EU orders arrive without customs charges or import delays. Pieces in matte black go out in 1-3 working days; hand-painted ones take 3-5, because the paint needs time to dry properly between coats.

Product safety

• Designed for light display items only. Please don't overload it.
• Not intended as a structural shelf or for heavy objects.
• Mount securely using fixings suited to your wall type. Adult installation recommended.
• Not a toy. Keep away from young children.
• Keep away from excessive heat, open flames and prolonged direct sunlight — PLA can soften at high temperatures.
• Clean gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners and solvents, especially on a hand-painted finish.
• Handle fine projecting details with care.
• Materials: PLA. Hand-painted finishes also use acrylic paint and matt varnish.
• Due to the nature of 3D printing, minor layer lines and small variations in finish are normal and form part of the piece's character.
