The Spectral Keeper — Gothic Phantom Bookend, Dark Academia Decor, Spooky Home Decor, Bookshelf Decor, Halloween Decor, Book Lover Gift

The Spectral Keeper — a hooded phantom figure in high relief, rising from a Baroque scrolled base.

A single bookend: a hooded, faceless phantom figure rises from a Baroque scrolled base, the drape of the robe picked out in deep, continuous folds from hem to hood.

The hood is left empty rather than filled with a face, keeping the figure anonymous and quietly unsettling on a shelf of mixed gothic pieces.

Sold as a single bookend, listed separately so you can choose one to anchor a shelf, or pick up a second for a matching pair. Finished in matte black by default; hand-painted silver and bronze finishes are also available, each a light dry-brush over the black base.

Key details

• Supplied as one bookend

• Hooded phantom figure, faceless

• Deeply draped robe with continuous folds

• 3D-printed PLA construction

• Baroque scrolled relief base

• Approx. 13.5 cm wide × 19.8 cm high × 6.2 cm deep

• Subtle layer texture and minor print variation are natural parts of the 3D-printing process

Finish options

• Matte Black — our standard finish. Deep matte PLA that holds shadow and shows every sculpted edge.

• Antique Silver — hand-painted with a light dry-brush over the matte-black base, so the piece stays mostly dark while the raised detail lifts into silver. Each one is finished individually, so no two are ever quite the same.

• Antique Bronze — the same light dry-brush treatment in a warmer metal, worked mainly into the raised highlights so it reads as handled and polished by touch over time rather than freshly painted. Finished individually, so small variations are part of its character.

• Other (message me) — the same hand-painted finish in colours of your choosing, for the same price. Send us a message before you order and tell us what you have in mind, and we will say honestly whether we can do it justice.

What's included

• 1 × The Spectral Keeper bookend

• Books and other props shown in the photographs are not included

Made and posted in Ireland

Printed, finished and packed by the two of us in Dublin, and posted from Ireland — so EU orders arrive without customs charges or import delays. Pieces in matte black go out in 1–3 working days; hand-painted ones take 3–5, because the paint needs time to dry properly between coats.

Product safety

• Decorative item for indoor use only.

• Not a toy. Keep away from young children.

• Keep away from excessive heat, open flames and prolonged direct sunlight — PLA can soften at high temperatures.

• Place on a stable, level surface.

• Clean gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners and solvents, especially on a hand-painted finish.

• Handle the hood and fine draped-robe detail with care.

• Materials: PLA. Hand-painted finishes also use acrylic paint and matt varnish.

• Due to the nature of 3D printing, minor layer lines and small variations in finish are normal and form part of the piece's character.

If anything isn't right

Every piece gets checked before it's packed. If something turns up damaged, or just isn't what you were hoping for, please send us a message — we're a two-person workshop and we would far rather hear from you and put it right.
