The Chimera's Revel — Beast Masquerade Mask, Halloween Costume, Hand-Painted

The Chimera's Revel — Something rather unruly has found its way into the Archive.

It combines a ferocious skull-like form with sweeping baroque ornament, deep relief and an impressive set of fangs. The result is dramatic without losing the intricate detail that makes the design worth looking at up close.

Raised scrollwork flows across the brow, around the eyes and along the sides of the mask, contrasting with the rougher skeletal texture beneath. The eye openings and central nasal opening pass through the mask, giving the design genuine depth rather than relying on painted or recessed details.

The open jaw is framed by pronounced upper and lower fangs, while smaller teeth and sculpted bone details add character throughout. From the front it has a strong, almost symmetrical presence; from the side, the layered ornament and projecting teeth give it considerably more depth.

Finish options

• Matte Black — our standard finish. Deep matte PLA that holds shadow and shows every sculpted edge.
• Antique Bronze — hand-painted, drybrushed by us in the workshop so the raised detail lifts and the recesses stay dark. Each one is done individually, so no two are ever quite the same.
• Antique Silver — hand-painted, drybrushed by us in the workshop so the raised detail lifts and the recesses stay dark. Each one is done individually, so no two are ever quite the same.
• Other (message me) — the same hand-painted finish in colours of your choosing, for the same price. Send us a message before you order and tell us what you have in mind, and we will say honestly whether we can do it justice.

Made and posted in Ireland

Printed, finished and packed by the two of us in Dublin, and posted from Ireland — so EU orders arrive without customs charges or import delays. Masks in matte black go out in 1-3 working days; hand-painted ones take 3-5, because the paint needs time to dry properly between coats.

Product safety

• Decorative item for indoor use only.
• Not a toy. Keep away from young children.
• Keep away from excessive heat, open flames and prolonged direct sunlight — PLA can soften at high temperatures.
• Clean gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners and solvents, especially on a hand-painted finish.
• Handle fine projecting details with care.
• Materials: PLA. Hand-painted finishes also use acrylic paint and matt varnish.
• Due to the nature of 3D printing, minor layer lines and small variations in finish are normal and form part of the piece's character.
