The Scaled Reliquary — A dragon has taken up watch on the wall.

A sculptural 3D-printed display shelf built around an imposing dragon form. The dragon rises above and below the shelf, with its outstretched forearms and claws wrapping around the shelf edge to make the functional element part of the sculpture itself.

The standard finish is matte black. Our optional finish combines deep bronze-effect dry brushing across most of the scales and body with contrasting silver-effect chest plates and horns, plus carefully selected silver highlights that pick out the sculpted detail. Designed as alternative gothic home decor, it works as both a decorative wall piece and a small display shelf without losing the character of the original dragon sculpt.

Finish options

• Matte Black — our standard finish. Deep matte PLA that holds shadow and shows every sculpted edge.
• Bronze & Silver — hand-painted, drybrushed by us in the workshop so the raised detail lifts and the recesses stay dark. Each one is done individually, so no two are ever quite the same.
• Other (message me) — the same hand-painted finish in colours of your choosing, for the same price. Send us a message before you order and tell us what you have in mind, and we will say honestly whether we can do it justice.

Printed, finished and packed by the two of us in Dublin, and posted from Ireland — so EU orders arrive without customs charges or import delays. Pieces in matte black go out in 1-3 working days; hand-painted ones take 3-5, because the paint needs time to dry properly between coats.

Product safety

• Decorative item for indoor use only.
• Designed for light display items only. Please don't overload it.
• Not intended as a structural shelf or for heavy objects.
• Mount securely using fixings suited to your wall type. Adult installation recommended.
• Not a toy. Keep away from young children.
• Keep away from excessive heat, open flames and prolonged direct sunlight — PLA can soften at high temperatures.
• Clean gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners and solvents, especially on a hand-painted finish.
• Handle fine projecting details with care.
• Materials: PLA. Hand-painted finishes also use acrylic paint and matt varnish.
• Due to the nature of 3D printing, minor layer lines and small variations in finish are normal and form part of the piece's character.
