It is printed as a hollow shell, so the whole back of it is open: lift it off its fixing and there is a cavity behind about 8 × 10 cm across and roughly 4 cm deep at the centre.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThat is enough for a key, a folded note, a ring box, a small stash of the sort of thing you would rather not leave on a shelf. It is a concealment piece, not a safe — there is no lock and no catch, just a skull that comes off the wall.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e3D printed in PLA in our Dublin workshop, the matte surface keeps the sutures across the cranium and the hollows of the sockets and nasal cavity properly dark, so it reads as bone rather than plastic.
